Do ya wanna hear a joke??

 

Trying something new is always a challenge but I was able to figure out the title pages and captions and how to get the video to publish on here!! Now I need to get a better quality video recorder. I just used the one on my digital camera, that is why the video is kinda dark. Please disregard the fact that my daughter is wearing a Halloween shirt in the middle of January!! It was laundry day so the wardrobe choices were slim :).

This was lots of fun I might try another one soon!! Trinity has a project she has been working on for school and pictures just wouldn’t do it justice. Come back next week sometime and I should have it ready!! Thanks for stopping by :)!

Cabin Fever???……No, not me!

The other day while driving I came to a stop sign and turned towards home, but as I was turning it crossed my mind that it had been awhile since I had turned the other way, probably since this summer. Then I wondered where I was going the last time I turned the other way and I realized that we had been going on our only camping trip of the season (you can read about it here, we really did want to go again but it just didn’t work out). Then I started to want to go camping! Kinda random, right?? I mean I had fun and we are looking forward to taking the kids again but this whole “really wanting to go camping in the dead of winter with snow on the ground” thing was kinda strange!

I started to notice other strange thoughts about summer activities; like what will we do with our garden this year, planting flowers on Mother’s Day (that is my gift from the kids, we go and pick out flowers and then plant them and that is my Mother’s Day gift, I love it!!) and riding our bikes to the ice cream shop in town (although I really need to start working out if I’m gonna be in shape for this one ;)).

So one night I ran all this past Gabe and he did indeed confirm that I have “Cabin Fever”. It was kinda startling, I don’t ever remember having it like this. Sure there have been times in the past that I had gotten sick of winter and wanted spring to come but that was much closer to spring than January! So I don’t really know what to do with myself?!?! I have been feeling pretty unmotivated really and I must get over this ‘cause lets face it I just don’t have the time to be unmotivated! So what do you do about “Cabin Fever”? I might have to give some of your suggestions a try  ‘cause summer, heck even spring, is pretty far off right now!!

December, A Little Late……. Too :)

I don’t want these month reviews to become the norm around here, but I have just found myself sooooo busy that time has gotten away from me again. I really had lots of ideas for posts in December but didn’t get around to them. Between the packing, present buying, present wrapping, traveling back “home” for 12 days, baking, scarf making, visiting friends and family, unwrapping of presents, celebrating Jesus’ birthday, bowling, hugging, talking, laughing, driving, sledding, playing in the snow, visiting the Louisville Science Center, celebrating the New Year, reorganizing all the new stuff, cleaning out the basement storage room, cleaning, teaching, parenting and trying to stay sane…… I just didn’t get around to it!

Well that big long run on sentence pretty much sums up our December but I thought it might be more interesting with some pictures so here are the highlights:
